Hily’s Love Dove Serves Up Connections at the Carb-Curious Festival
When turning bread into a love language
Los Angeles, November 12, 2025 —This Sunday, Hily Dating App is bringing its human-sized Love Dove to the Carb-Curious Festival in LA, hosted by Eastern Harmony Mental Health. The whole event is about celebrating food, connection, and feeling good about what you eat.
At the event, Hily’s Love Dove will be walking around asking guests to peck, hug or kiss each other to spark a connection. Do it and score a cookie with a cheeky message. Then, head over to Hily’s booth to take a photo inside a giant piece of toast bread. Hily’s all about showing daters that real connections can happen anywhere and every spot is a dating spot, especially one with food.
“When it comes to dating, people often wait for the right time, the right signs, the right place — and so on. We just wanted to remind everyone that, actually, any place can be where new connections spark. That’s the beauty of being real and open to genuine connections — something we truly value at Hily Dating App,” says Julia Kolesnyk, Head of Brand & Communications at Hily.
The Carb-Curious Festival is happening Sunday, November 16, from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM at Sunset Triangle Plaza, Silverlake. The admission is free. Expect local vendors and chefs serving up favorites like dumplings, croissants, naan, and noodles. There’ll also be mental health pop-ups, feel-good workshops, and open chats about food anxiety, body image, and intuitive eating to rebuild healthy relationships with carbs. The only rule? Leave your carb guilt at the door.
