We’ve all heard of The Bachelor, but did you know Travis Kelce had his own reality dating show? That’s right—it was called Catching Kelce and it aired on E! in 2016.
On the show, 50 women—one from each US state—vied for a chance to date Travis. The show wasn’t a huge hit, but it did introduce Kelce to a non-football audience for the first time.
Kelce later described the experience as “extremely awkward.” It’s obviously a time in his dating history he’d like to forget.
Maya Benberry (2016)
Maya Benberry of Kentucky emerged as the winner of Travis Kelce’s dating reality show.
I love your confidence, but at times it does get overconfident. It kind of shows arrogance.” Kelce continued, “I have been attracted to women like that my entire life, and those relationships didn’t work because of that.”

Maya Benberry, now a life coach, resurfaced last year with a warning to Travis Kelce’s current girlfriend Taylor Swift.

After breaking up with Maya Benberry, Kelce didn’t take long to find a new love interest. In 2017, he started dating sports broadcaster Kayla Nicole. He spoke about his strategy to win over Nicole in 2022.

Travis Kelce’s relationship with the fitness enthusiast and sports journalist Nicole was on and off for five years. They broke up several times. The most notable breakup, in 2020, was met with cheating allegations, which the NFL player vehemently denied.
“This is fake news… a lie… and not why Kayla and I broke up… take all your hatred somewhere else please,” Kelce tweeted.
The couple began dating again before finally ending it in 2022. But not without rumours that his ex-girlfriend dumped him because he was “cheap” in their relationship. The star denied this on The Pivot Podcast on January 10th 2023.

After his breakup with Kayla Nicole, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end may have had a romance with TV personality Zuri Hall for a few months. The correspondent Zuri Hall was seen alongside Travis’ family in his VIP suite during an NFL game in October 2022.
However, Kelce and Hall never confirmed that they had started dating.
Interestingly, eagle-eyed fans saw that Kayla and Zuri, both TV personalities, had unfollowed each other on social media following the dating rumours.
By January 2023, Kelce made it clear that he was single. He told The Pivot Podcast, “I’m in the free market right now… I’m out there just enjoying life.” It’s fair to say Kelce’s dating history had been pretty chaotic up until now.

When Taylor Swift’s Eras tour came to the Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas in July 2023, guess who was in attendance? None other than NFL player Travis Kelce.
During an episode of his podcast New Heights, which Travis hosts with his brother, the NFL star explained that he tried to give Swift a friendship bracelet with his phone number on it.
After missing his shot to give Taylor Swift his number, Travis invited her to watch him play in a Kansas City Chiefs game.
He told the Pat McAfee show, “I threw the ball in her court. I told her, ‘I’ve seen you rock the stage in Arrowhead. You might have to come see me rock the stage in Arrowhead and see which one’s a little more lit,’ so we’ll see,” he said. “We’ll see what happens in the near future.”
Taylor Swift Attends Kelce’s NFL Game (September 2023)
It wasn’t long before the Grammy winner Taylor Swift took Travis Kelce up on his offer. In September, she was caught on camera at a Chiefs game in Kelce’s VIP family suite.
Days later, he gushed about her on his podcast, saying, “Shout-out to Taylor for pulling up, that was pretty ballsy”. He continued, “I just thought it was awesome how everyone in the suite had nothing but great things to say about her.”
On October 2nd, Taylor Swift cheered on the football star at the Chiefs vs Jets game in New York. She was flanked by a star-studded posse, including Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman, and Sophie Turner.
Kelce reportedly gained 300,000 social media followers in the 24 hours after Swift’s appearance at the Kansas City Chiefs vs New York Jets game.
Taylor Swift Finally Confirms Their Relationship (December 2023)
After being named Person of the Year, Taylor Swift finally confirmed what everyone knew. The Cruel Summer singer told TIME, “By the time I went to that first game, we were a couple.” Adding, “I think some people think that they saw our first date at that game? We would never be psychotic enough to hard launch a first date.”
Kelce and Swift went on to make their whirlwind romance Instagram official in June 2024. Taylor posted their photo with Prince William and two of his children at her Eras tour show at Wembley Stadium in London.

What exactly did the document say? It claimed the couple would break up on September 28th. It also proposed statements Kelce and Swift could make to the media. Many saw this as proof that their relationship was staged. Travis Kelce’s team were forced to deny the leak.
The couple were quick to put the controversy behind them. Just days later, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce were seen enjoying a US Open tennis match in New York City.

A few months have gone by since the contract drama, and the couple appears stronger than ever.
