Hily’s Year In Review

Oh, 2021, you’re almost done! You were supposed to be so much better than your predecessor. You were full of love but also disappointments and sadness. The COVID-19 pandemic dominated the headlines but it was not all bad.

There were some really good news out there in 2021! Enough to give us hope for a better and brighter future in 2022!

Hily had more than a few breakthrough events that we are tremendously proud of. So, we want to take a look back at the year that was.

In March, when most people continued to work from home and observe strict quarantine guidelines, Hily decided to bring a few much-needed laughs to its users. The app partnered up with People’s Improv Theater for a Fun In-app Comedy Show. The show focused on all things dating-related. We mean, really, all things from the good to the bad to the really ugly! It all made for a fun live Undateable show right on St. Patrick’s Day. Stephanie Holmes, Wes Hazard, Sam Ike, Nicole Korkolis, Ronny Pascale, Chris Griggs, Srilatha Rajamani, and Kathe Farris were the entertainers keeping St.Paddy’s celebration spirit alive during the times when most parties and parades were canceled.

In the summer of 2021, Hily decided to do some good for our four-legged friends. So, in August the app partnered up with Austin Pets Alive! animal shelter. A cleverly-named campaign “It’s a petch!” lasted through the end of summer. Profiles of 15 cats and dogs complete with adorable photos were featured on Hily. The app’s users were able to swipe, ask members of Austin Pets Alive! questions about their potential matches, and even set a date. Rest assured, many feline and canine friends found their forever homes thanks to this partnership!

When fall rolled around, Hily launched an interactive fun quiz to help its users celebrate Halloween in style, a monster style that is! The Halloween Dating Quiz revealed all the creepy monsters lurking in the background, preventing people from starting and maintaining great relationships. The quiz was available to anyone for free. Of course, it was just for fun, entertainment purposes only but it definitely gave people a few interesting insights. Those who completed the quiz were able to share their results on social media and invite their friends to take it as well.

As the year was drawing to a close, the app chose to brighten the holiday season for its users. Hily organized a Christmas Giveaway campaign. A Live Christmas Trivia with gifts? How could anyone miss that? Hily offered thirty hand-picked gifts up for grabs. From waffle makers to AirPods to instant cameras to $200 gift cards, these gifts certainly made the winners' Christmas merry! The live stream Trivia featured questions on different subjects. It was certainly a fun way to start the holiday season and thank Hily users for being with us!

So, as we sum 2021 up, we want to say thanks to our loyal users - you inspire us to be better! We are tremendously lucky to have all of you with Hily and cannot wait to share what we’ve got in store for you in 2022. We look forward to a great happy and healthy year full of love and great connections.
